Digital teaching series // Jesus Isn’t distant

 

Part 1

The distance of this season is having all sorts of effects on our lives, and not all of them are good. The Good News of the Gospel is that JESUS ISN’T DISTANT. Part 1 of our Jesus Isn’t Distant series talks about the reality of a God who closes the distance.

 

Part 2

A way to recognize that Jesus Isn’t Distant is by obedience and allowing ourselves to hear the voice of the Spirit which draws us near to Jesus.

 

Part 3

We can focus on the distance or instead we can look at the details. Where in your life have you found Jesus in the details of everyday life?

 

Part 4

As a people called to work to see oppression and injustice brought to an end, we do so remembering that Jesus Isn’t Distant From The Oppressed. There are no quick or easy answers, but we remember that if Jesus drew near to the oppressed, the church should learn to follow His example. And as we draw near, we go to work, that we might see the Kingdom of Heaven brought to those suffering under oppression.

 

Part 5

Throughout history there have been times it didn’t look good for God’s people and yet God has always kept a His mission moving forward. At times, when it looked the most hopeless, He used a remnant, a small group of faithful followers of His. God’s mission is not cancelled by this season, and we know that He will continue to use His Church to bring His Kingdom to our cities, nation and world!
